EAC. 'V' SERIES - OIL TEMPERATURE. We have carried out comparative tests on the road with a 'V' series car and a standard 40/50 HP. car. The maximum oil temperature was 70°C on the 'V' series, and 55°C on the 40/50 HP. To obtain this temperature the cars were run on the gears. We have carried out tests on the bench measuring the consumption at different oil temperatures but we have not been able to measure that increase in oil temperature increases the consumption, as a matter of fact, the engine consumed less oil when it was hot.
