On handing over the car to Hamilton in Paris I told him about this and that an examination and report on the aluminised pipe that had failed was required. Gardiner, who is now at Derby can give you details of the job as he fitted and removed the aluminised pipe while I was in Paris with 6BIV [illegible strikethrough], and he was on the job afterwards with Hamilton.
