| Dear PN. {Mr Northey} from Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X180. Hsl/LGll.12.28. I am sorry we have not replied to your note as regards a car for Xmas before, but we were not in a position to say whether there would be a car available. The position is that we only have one 20 HP. experimental car and I am afraid we cannot spare this away from the Works. We were thinking that R. {Sir Henry Royce} , when he left for Le Canadel(Henry Royce's French residence), would return the 20 HP. car he has been using, but it has been decided to leave this car at WW. We are sorry therefore to have to say that we shall not have a car which would be in any way suitable for you to run during Christmas. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
