COMPARISON OF DELCO-REMY AND U.S.A. BOSCH IGNITION SYSTEMS.
X4275

From the tests we have been doing on battery ignition contact points, we have formed the opinion that the Delco-Remy equipment is better than U.S.A. Bosch because -
(1) It is a better design and therefore
(2) Probably more reliable.
(3) The performance, in particular the functioning of the contact points, is better.

We have had no failure of this Delco-Remy equipment in our experiments on the bench, and the contact points have always run well. In the case of the U.S.A. Bosch, we have had one failure (one of the contact points came loose) and the contact points do not run as cleanly as those of the Delco-Remy. We have also had an ignition coil failure on the U.S.A. Bosch equipment.
