Contd. -2- Dabs of solder could then be applied to these two holes to effect the positive connection between the case and each strip. (3) Further it is considered that a packing piece in addition to the spring should be arranged so that the condenser in its case should be tightly packed in the pocket in the distributor, in such a manner as always to keep the plates of the condenser in suitable compression. Would By. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} please instruct that four condensers be made up out of condensers already built and seasoned for some time in the Elec. Prod. Dept., specifically for the purpose of the four Goshawk demonstration cars, on which failures would be disastrous. It is suggested that these four condensers might embody such alterations regarding condenser connections as we have suggested with a view to avoiding any possibility of failure due to this cause.
