To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} 4219 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}12/KW.15.1.35. Car Cylinder Heads. We know there has been a bit of congestion in the cylinder head section owing to pressure of aero work lately, but we have one or two jobs we should like to get through in the immediate future :- (1) EB.2050. This is the high compression head which it is proposed to use on production, and it should go to France on 5-B-IV at the end of the month. The only modification from the existing specification is that we should like 1.250" exhaust valves to be fitted. Will you please urge completion of this. (2) We are handing you herewith, Head to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1527. Will you please urge the head with the large inlet ports and high compression ratio, which is at present going through. (3) We hand you herewith a head to EX.16041. Will you please machine the turbulent lip as per attached sketch. (4) Will you please put in hand 6 Inlet Valves to EX.15603, throat diameter to be 1.550". (5) Will you please complete the 20/25 cylinder head, final capacity to be 107 c.c's.
