| To Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} 262 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GR.{George Ratcliffe}9/JH.24.6.37. Bentley B-106-GA - Mr.E.R.Hall. Mr. Hall has requested the above car to be rebuilt as standard production ready for sale. This means removing as far as possible all non-standard features. The present engine unit is an experimental one, No.B-21, this number will require changing. ENGINE. Cylinder block is honed + .003 oversize pistons are special stengthened aerolite. (1) Bottom half crankcase and oil pump to be removed and replaced standard. (2) Dynamo gear to be fitted with brake blocks and springs. (3) Oil filler to be removed and standard fitted. (4) Special cock on water pump to be removed and replace standard. (5) Ignition tower and governor to be sent to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst. and made standard. (6) Refit ballast resistance as standard. (7) Front and side engine guards to be fitted. (8) Gearbox and servo to be removed and replaced standard (Mr. Bassano). (9) Clutch to be inspected and passed as standard (linings and springs). (10) Propellor shaft to be fitted with flywheel damper complete as present production. (11) Rear axle ratio to be 10 x 41 standard. This is at present 11 x 41 (Mr. Pritchard). (12) Petrol tank to be removed and fitted with FB.37A type (Mr. BULL) | ||
