With further reference to our Sr/VA2/ET. 30.4.36, from experience now gained it certainly appears that the cause of the majority of knocks which we have found to emanate from 20/25 HP. & Bentley hydraulic dampers has been due to slight slackness in the main lever of the shock damper and its bearings. We have overcome the trouble by fitting close fit hand scraped bearings.
