Dear Sirs, Referring to your letter of the 7th November last and the subject of Lighter batteries, we have now completed some tests on a battery, our type 6LZD9-S, and the details which we understand you require are as follows:- CAPACITY AT 60°F. {Mr Friese} 48 a.h. at the 20-hour rate. 43 a.h. at the 10-hour rate. HIGH RATE DISCHARGE AT 160 amperes. Temp. 60°F. {Mr Friese} Temp 8°F. {Mr Friese} Volts at 5 seconds 10.1 volts. 8.4 volts. Period of Discharge to 8 volts. 4mins.45secs. 1min.30 secs. WEIGHTS. Complete with acid, cover and holding-down rods, 56lbs. 4 ozs. Complete with acid but without the cover and the holding-down rods, 53lbs. 2 ozs. The battery on which we have obtained the above tests is being kept here in a fully charged state and we will arrange to send this forward to you for further tests, should you desire us to do this.
