Will you kindly instruct the works to make one complete set of 1/2 pistons for Mr. Hives, to be used for general testing purposes. They should be instructed as follows:-

Finished generally to Piston drawing E.7772, the only point which they should differ from this drawing being that .125" must be left on the crown so as to increase the compression by that amount in the cylinders.

This means that the finished piston should be .125 more from the gudgeon pin centre to the top of the piston. You will note that this will necessitate Mr. Cheetham leaving extra machining on this set of pistons.
