X.2894. TUNGSTEN CONTACTS FOR BATTERY IGNITION MAKE AND BREAK.

With reference to your EFC1/S27.1.21. and our report EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}17/F21121 to the effect that Mr.Clarke of the Demonstration Class reports that the battery ignition fitted with Tungsten steel points had run 3,000 miles and given no trouble, we find that the make and break points fitted to this car, and which are still on the car, were from the Fansteel Products Co. of U.S.A.

We regret we have not been able to test these points on any other car but this, except cars on test, each of which run for a short time and so far no trouble has been experienced. We are still running this pair (Tungsten Manfg.Co.)

We therefore return the remaining sets of blades herewith.
