X.3181 - DALBY WATSON OPTICAL INDICATOR

In answer to your telegram, we have a Dalby Watson Indicator on order from Messrs. G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Cussons, Ltd., The Technical Works, Lower Broughton, Manchester, but owing to this firm being so full up with various other more urgent war work, they regret that it is impossible to deliver this indicator immediately. They say they have several on order, but owing to pressure on their machine tools they cannot make rapid progress with the work.
The last communication we had from them was dated 6th of June, but they cannot give any definite promise of delivery.
Regarding the illustrations and particulars of this indicator, we will get these together and forward them to you, but at the moment it is necessary to have some tracings made of blueprints received from Messrs. Cussons. These we are putting in hand immediately.
The Indicator Diagram Apparatus as suggested by you has been instructed from the D.O. and is at present in progress in the Experimental Dept.
