CHASSIS 14-TM - JUAN CORREA.

We do not see that any advantage will be gained in cooling by changing the axle from 15-tooth to 14-tooth, in fact, we should expect a disadvantage because with the same engine speed the car would be travelling through air at a slower speed. Although it might be said the fan is running faster, the fan speed relative to the engine speed still remains the same.

The problem of cooling the Silver Ghost has been investigated exhaustively by the Experimental Dept. We consider there is one vital point which should be satisfied, i.e., whilst we have this car at the Works, to see that the cooling system functions in the manner we anticipate. Once we are satisfied that the car is normal we could tell you exactly what improvements are possible.

We would suggest that the Experimental Dept. carry out the tests. It would take two or three days, given reasonable weather conditons.
