X4566 Bk{A. Birkett - Commercial Manager}16/DN/13.6.22. S/W. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Mr. H.E. Walters, a very old R.R. customer, called in today with a new carburetter of which he is part patentee. Enclosed please find blue print of same. They claim to have made a carburetter which is quiet in action, has no flat spot, increases petrol consumption and has many other virtues. He is prepared to either give or loan to you two carburetters, one suitable for a 20 h.p. car, the other suitable for a 40/50. We have informed Mr. Walters that we could not deal with the job here, but would write to you asking you to get into communication with Mr. G.A. Benn, Argentine Club, 1, Hamilton Place, London, W.1. This gentleman would be pleased to bring the carburetters to Derby and explain the tuning of them or if you wish he would tune one up on a car. He is of course prepared to entirely place himself in your hands. If you think you would like to try these carburetters, we should be glad if you would kindly communicate direct with Mr. Benn, making an appointment. print returned to Mr Benn. H.O. HO | ||
