For the attention of Mr. C.R.N.Minchin.

Dear Sirs,

Answering your letter of the 7th inst. we think your surmise that the cells in question are fitted with .6 mm. ebonite and single ribbed separators is correct, as we notice that other cells which we had at the same time are fitted with single ribbed separators.

We are, however, not quite clear as to the various stages which have been passed through, because in the four cells (two new and two old) which you recently sent us for comparative test it appears that the cells which you call the old ones have double ribbed separators in common with the new ones, whereas we were not aware that double ribbed separators were put in the cells until the very latest modification was made. If, however, you can give us the various stages exactly, this would help to clear the matter up for us.

It would also be of interest to us to know which type of battery Mr. Minchin has on his car.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
