Sparking Plugs.

Herewith notes on Sparking plugs used on these cars.

6.B.IV. Sent out with K.L.G. FL.30 X. plugs fitted.

728 miles. Arrival at Chateauroux.
Points measured .027". Re-set at .020"

5,967 miles. Gaps checked after 5,239 miles since setting at .020" and found to be .028" to .032". All re-set at .020".

7,085 miles. K.L.G. FL.30 X. removed and Lodge Sintox, 3 type 640 and 3 type 641 ex. 26.G.VI. fitted for trial in Bentley set at .020".

10,275 miles. Lodge Sintox plugs removed and gaps checked after 3,190 miles running.

Bentley sent back to England with K.L.G. FLB.30 X. plugs, ex. 26.G.VI. set at .020" fitted.

Lodge plugs retained for further running in Wraith.

The Lucas coil sent out from Works was fitted at 4,128 miles and was still fitted when the car left for England, the coil having run 6,433 miles.

Delco contact breaker arms with strengthened rubbing blocks fitted at 4,128 miles. Points set at .020".
Points checked at 10,561 miles before leaving for England, i.e. after 6,433 miles running, measured .012" and .014" suggesting wear of rubbing blocks.
