BENTLEY 111 - SHOCK DAMPER CONTROL.

I should not from my own experience of two years driving over a distance of 20,000 miles be disposed to agree that dirt under the control valves is a real trouble.

I would like to have Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}'s remarks under this heading, as a result of his service experience.

I am not clear what is meant by the governor characteristic being unnecessary; if an oil pump of the gear type will give a rising pressure with speed then it represents another method of attaining the governor effect.

A gear pump is a rather noisy affair, and I would like Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} and Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Hdy.{William Hardy} to give this proposal attention and provide evidence for or against it before we proceed to try it out. In addition, it appears to me viscosity effects become a difficulty with gear box oil and a gear pump.
