Re: High Radiator for Phantom.

Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG8.5.28. we fear that a little confusion has arisen in regard to what is referred to, as E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} steering position.

We had not in mind that the steering position used on the Sports cars would be the new E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} position. All we were intending and had discussed with Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} was that we should have an 'E' column which would be about 1 1/2" to 2" lower than 'D' so as to meet the requirements of people who-want a lower seat than we can normally give with a 'D'.

Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} has asked us to give him our suggestion for an 'E' column and this we hope to do shortly after trying 14.EX. which has a 'D' column in approximately the same position as the future G.2.B. 'D' columns.

Now that the radiator and dash are going to be raised slightly, we quite agree we shall have to carefully watch to see that the new suggested 'E' gives reasonably good driving visibility.

Wgc.
