To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Athletic Club, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}10/KW.26.1.34. I hope to run a Packard minus crank damper in a day or two. however we should much like to know why Cadillacs with all their experience and love of a V.8 have produced a La{L. A. Archer} Salle straight 8. What do they think about the top period? Here's a nice question for you re independent front suspension. 27-EX with bad geometry but no gyro forces has road shocks. The ordinary 40/50 with both gyro forces and bad geometry has road shocks. If the Cadillac with good geometry but gyro forces due to the bottom link being longer has no road shocks, couldn't we improve the present 40/50 by making the geometry perfect?
