In reply to your memo Na{Mr Nadin}2/B111113, Mr Haldenby reports as follows :-

"I have just received some of these. A set "were fitted to a gear box on November 14th "on 1926. One of the points we should know "is what percentage of bearings had to be "returned by the Inspectors because they "failed to pass the silence test. Mr Matthews "is, I understand, obtaining a report. "The bearings used on the bumping test "were Hoffmann."
