Dear Mr. Robotham,

Many thanks for your letter of the 17th inst. in which you advise us that due to the intervention of the Paris Motor Show, the suggested dates for the visit of Mr. Spurrier and the writer would not be convenient.

We have therefore accepted your suggestion that we should come to Derby on Tuesday, the 29th September, but due to the fact that Mr. Spurrier must be in Leyland at approximately 4 p.m., it will necessitate our leaving your Works at approximately 1 p.m.

Would you therefore please advise us whether you would be in agreement to our arriving at your Works at or about 9 a.m., and just spending three or four hours with you. We thank you very much indeed for the invitation to lunch with you, but in view of the short time available we would suggest that it would be better to spend as much time as possible in the Works, and for us to arrange a snack lunch after leaving Derby.

With very many thanks,

Yours sincerely,

Millington
