X 1282 c. to Lp.{Mr Lappin} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Pkn.5/MA. April 10th., 1933. F.R.Banks Esq., Ethyl Export Corporation, Abford House, Victoria, London, S.W.1. Dear Banks, The Hawker High Speed Fury fitted with a fully supercharged Kestrel engine is to carry out full throttle trials at an early date. We recommended the use of the Schneider fuel (20/70/10+ 4 ccs) for the job, giving the Anglo American Oil Co. Ltd., as the source of supply. Hawkers, however, appear to have a preference for Shell products and have obtained a supply of the fuel from the Shell Company. We should be glad to know if you have any doubts regarding the capability of Shell to supply a satisfactory fuel. If you consider that the fuel will not be up to standard of that supplied by Anglo's, then we shall have to advise Hawkers to this effect. Yours faithfully, F R ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
