Edwards} 11/JH We thank you for your letter of the 22nd instant, returning a sample hose connection, part number E.B.3748 which has failed after having been submitted to the tests reported in your letter of the 19th instant. We presume from your letter that this was a special test and not the general working conditions for the connections which have already been supplied against above mentioned part number, but we should like to have your confirmation on this point at your convenience. We are preparing for your approval samples of straight hose connections 6" long x 1/8" bore which will be made with a view to meeting the test specified in your letter. The samples will be submitted to you within the course of a post or so and we hope that the foregoing information will meet with your requirements. Yours faithfully, FOR THE COMPANY.
