THE BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON COMPANY LTD. Rugby. Our Ref: Industrial Sales RJC. 27th June 1933. W.W.Constantine Esq., 111 Grosvenor Road, London, S.W.1. Dear Sir, In answer to yours of the 26th instant, we would advise you that Fabroil-A is identical with Textolite in every respect, except that of colour. Our material is darker in colour than Textolite, as we make a practice of adding a little dye to the resin to enable us to distinguish the resin we use in the bonding of the material from various other rather similar resins that we use for insulating purposes. The presence of a small amount of dye is not in the slightest degree detrimental to the purpose of Fabroil-A and we have pleasure in advising you that we actually make Fabroil-A at our Works here and at Coventry. We have been making the material for ten years or so, and in the making of Timing Gears by the moulding process we work the Textolite Patents of which we have the sole rights in this country. Trusting that this gives you the information you are seeking. Yours faithfully, J.S.RAMSDEN MANAGER - INDUSTRIAL SALES Per:- B.CHAPMAN | ||
