X4218 To ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} from EFC. EFC4/T18.1.24. X.664 - BATTERIES. Reference your ROY{Sir Henry Royce}16/MG16.1.24. Forse battery from Messrs. Callender. X4218 This battery has not done very well on our routine tests. Further observations will be made and it is expected to improve. In any case it is not suitable for putting on a car. The idea, therefore, is only to see if this type of plate construction is suitable for chassis conditions. Alklum Battery from Messrs. Wornanop. x3717 This is an alkaline battery and the results of this to date have not be up to expectations and do not warrant it being put on a car for trial, but it is going to be given another chance and perhaps will show up better. Sparta Battery from Messrs. Fuller. x Tests not yet started. New 20 H.P. size Batteries from Messrs. C.A.V. X4414V Three have been recently received but their Mr. Leeson who was here yesterday said that these may not represent the best they can do to our specification - hence the matter is in abeyance until we hear further from them.
