Dear Sirs, For the attention of Major Searight. Your surmise that the trouble we had in France was due to the top seal of the glass tube on the dashboard instrument, having broken was quite correct. Unfortunately, the new instrument we have sent out to the car running in France failed after it had been on the car a little time. The report we have received says that it broke at the top joint. A suggestion has been made that the glass tube should be frosted at the top and the bottom to facilitate making a joint. We should like to know what you think of this idea. Yours faithfully, | ||
