CONTINENTAL PHANTOM - CARBURETTERS,
EXTRA OIL, ETC.
Looking at this from a distance - i.e. not the last MPH. - one thinks that:
(1) We ought not to fit SUs. if we are likely to put these on the 'Bensport', hoping that our single uptake carburetter will give nearly the same HP., or so near as to make very little difference in maximum road speed.
(2) We ought to have a starter carburetter, or the one combined with our semi-expanding carburetter, and we must hope for throttle edge carburation in all cases.
(3) We still want it to look like a RR.
(4) The J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. extra oil should be fitted if possible. This is the one automatically controlled by the thermo-unit.
