664 Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/R.15.2.39. WRAITH IMPROVED PERFORMANCE. Confirming our conversation of the 14th, we are preparing the parts necessary to improve the performance of your car, and unless we hear to the contrary we shall expect to receive these on February 22nd. We should like, if possible, for you to transfer the engine from your old car to your new car, as it is of considerable value to us to keep records of an engine which has done a large mileage in the Company's hands. Whilst we are modifying the engine to obtain the increased output, we should like to incorporate some experiments to reduce cylinder bore wear. The fact that these experiments are incorporated in the engine unit should not make the least difference to its performance or its behaviour in your hands. The purpose of them is to increase the time which elapses before it would be necessary to re-bore the engine. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
