COPY. J.W.Horton. M.Inst.C.E. County Surveyor. County Offices. St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Mary's Gate. Derby. 8th May. 1930. Dear Sirs, Complaints have been made to the County Council of the dangerous speed at which some of your motor cars are being driven for test purposes on the road between the Spread Eagle, Burton Road and Etwall. This speed is not only a danger to the public but is causing serious damage to the road. The road is now a road for which the County Council is responsible and I shall be glad to have your observations as to this complaint before any further action is taken. Yours faithfully, J.W. Horton. (sd). Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd. [Handwritten Notes] AJL Please note & inform all drivers HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Noted cff | ||
