X1775 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/LG5.1.26. 4209 EXPERIMENTAL DEPT. It has been decided to divide the Expl: Test Dept. into the following sections. SECTION. IN CHARGE. Aero Engine Test. Mr. Warwick. 10,000 miles tests. Mr. Hancock. Car engine - bench, dynamometer and bumping tests. Mr. Lovesey. Car road tests at Derby - both 40/50 and 20 HP, and other makes. Mr. Lidsey. Special experimental tests. Mr. Robotham. Outside Aero Engine tests. Mr. Gibson. Under this arrangement it is expected that at times the Car Engine Test Section may wish to carry out special tests on a car on the road, they may even wish to observe the tests - this should always be arranged. At times it may also be necessary to allot to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} either cars, dynamometer or bumping rig to carry out special tests. Mr. Lidsey will be in charge of all Experimental cars at Derby. All requests for the use of cars should go through him. As regards the Night Shift. Normally Mr. Gibbs will work with Mr. Warwick on the Aero Engine Section - Mr. Swindall with Mr. Lovesey on Car Engine Bench Tests. Mr. Pym for Mr. Lidsey as Car Washer. If it is necessary, of course, these men will be changed round. In the event of my being away, Mr. Warwick will be in sole charge. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
