Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.10/AP. 11th May 1937 Messrs Delco-Remy & Hyatt Ltd., 111 Grosvenor Road, LONDON S.W.1. Dear Sirs, We recently fitted to one of our Experimental cars a pair of Delco-Remy Horns type K.33. and we regret to say that after a short period of running one of the horns failed due to two of the body screws working loose, one falling out and getting lost. This allowed air to leak at the joint thus reducing the air pressure in the trumpet. We consider that it is most important for these screws to be locked on all these horns. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
