RE. SLIDING JOINT.
There has been no further trouble with the silencer after fitting a strengthening piece to the bracket holding same. The sliding joint as functioned OK and no distortion of the exhaust pipe can be observed. We have now completed our mileage and have started to dismantle the engine for the fitting of the new piston rings. We are also making a final examination of the car.
G.W.H.
We have kept bend close 'up' & altered material from mild Steel to Nickel Steel B
