40m.m. GUN.

Referring to our telephone conversation some weeks ago, I now have a letter from the Director of Naval Ordnance saying that the Admiralty has no objection to Messrs. Thornycrofts being supplied with details of the Rolls-Royce Cannon. Will you therefore please let me have a duplicate set of prints of arrangement drawings of the gun and mounting as designed for Naval work, and a copy of the schedule of weights. I will see that they are directed to the proper quarter of the Thornycroft organisation.

Thornycrofts are designing some new boats and are endeavouring to arrange on the original design for the mounting of this Gun - a very wise procedure.
