Apart from his arm he is in good health. We understand from Dr. Laurie that the treatment to which his arm is at present being subjected shows definite signs of stimulating the bone growth and Dr. Laurie is hopeful that eventually the fracture may knit. There seems to be no possibility of specifying the time interval which is likely to elapse before the arm will have completely recovered, we understand that similar cases have been known to take five years. Though it is two years ago since the accident happened, it is only twelve months since the last operation. We have written to Dr. Laurie for a report, and will let you have this when it comes to hand. It would appear that Pattinson has got to face at least two to three years of partial inactivity before the bone in his arm knits, and even then this may never happen; if it does not happen, he loses his arm.
