To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. Suspension 446 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH.4/SW.16.12.40. B.V. Sec.7042 - Front Suspⁿ Mechanism. In accordance with a request from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Clm.{D. D. Clapham}, alteration Nos. 233/RF and 234/RF have been made. These alterations call for a longer Front Spring and a modified Stop to bring the buffer into operation earlier, to prevent the Torque Arm fouling the frame.
