Dear Sirs,

Phantom III -EEC.42

We are in receipt of your letter of the 27th inst. reference as above, and are sorry to hear of the complaint from your service depot at Cricklewood.

We cannot appreciate the reason for the brass turnings, because there is no brass in the body of the carburetter and the brass parts themselves pass through so many operations that we cannot conceive that it is possible for the turnings to be left in them in sufficient quantities to cause jamming.

Is there any possibility of your having modified a carburetter in any way?

With regard to the pump having no holes drilled at the base, could you send this to us and also at the same time let us know the number of the carburetter?

We cannot understand this because the pump discharge is carefully tested on every carburetter we send you,
