X1225 To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}6/KW.21.8.36. Rear Axle Lubricants. In reply to your memo. Roy.{Sir Henry Royce}1/MG.17.8.36. concerning Price's E.P. Lubricant, we think we should point out that we did not standardise, or even consider recommending for production, the present standard Wakefield's Hi-Press until after two years' testing in this department and considerable testing by Ransome and Marles so that nothing separated from the oil under the centrifugal action of the ball bearing. We do not think, therefore, we have time to test Price's oil. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
