Church Road, Basildon, Billericay. 4th August, 1937. From:- R.{Sir Henry Royce} PAGE, Builder and Contractor. To:- Mr. J.W. Eldridge. Dear Sir, I am pleased to say that the engine in my concrete mixer starts up much easier and runs much more even now that I have fitted one of your 'NER-MIS' adaptors to the plug. One of my labourers noticed that when a sprinkle of water from the cooling tank splashed on to the insulator of plug, it cut out the plug and stopped the engine. We had heard it said that a plug would fire in the presence of water with one of your adaptors fitted, so he turned the water on full at the tap and held the hose-pipe over the plug and adaptor and let the water run directly over both, and this failed to stop the engine. Yours faithfully, Signed:- R.{Sir Henry Royce} PAGE. | ||
