DUNLOP MAGNUM TYRES.

We are returning to Messrs Dunlop 1 Magnum Tyre which we have had burst after running 3,160 miles. We suggest returning this to Dunlop's because of the appearance and we consider it suggests faulty construction or defective workmanship. We have noticed on the last set of magnum tyres we have been running that the walls of the tyre appear to* collapse. This is plainly shewn by the fact that the tyres are new, they will fit into a dished pan, used in connection with the tyre carrier, quite easily but after the tyre has run for about 2,000 miles, it will not fit into this pan by at least ¼" because the walls of the cover appear to have collapsed and the different layers of fabric come loose.

We should like to have the Dunlop Tyre people's comments on this matter.

We have been very keen that the pressure in these tyres has been kept 70 to 75 lbs.

EH.
