Dear Sirs,

Watford Magnetic Type Speedometer.

It was arranged with your Mr. Vivian Glenn this afternoon to send back to you for repair and modification the speedometer which failed on our test car in France. It now transpires, however, that this speedometer has been left behind in France and we shall not be able to get hold of it for some time. The other speedometer is fitted on a car and it is impossible in the circumstances to remove this in order to send it back to you for the modifications outlined by Mr. Glenn.

We wonder if you will kindly send us a new speedometer incorporating all the latest modifications to suit our instrument board similar to the one already supplied, so that we can exchange it with the one on the car which we will return to you. If this meets with your approval will you please send on to us as soon as possible another replacement speedometer.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
