X3398 c. wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} X3398 X4414 EFC3/T. 26th Sept., 1921. Messrs. Peto & Radford, Co.Ltd., 50, Grosvenor Gardens, London, S.W.1. Dear Sirs, We are considering experimentally the question of batteries for our experimental small size car, and we think you should be afforded the opportunity of supplying us with batteries experimentally for this purpose. As we have already got out the design of a battery box for this purpose to suit the rear of frame position, we would like, in the first instance, to give you the inside dimensions of the box, which are as follows:- 13.6" long x 7.5" wide x 9.937" deep overall, (those of the battery for which this box was designed being 13.125" long. x 7.25" wide, 9.812" deep overall). We should like you to tell us in the first instance if you have any battery which will approximately meet these dimensions, or which would meet them if we made a slight change to the dimensions of the battery box, or failing this, no doubt you would be prepared to make up special batteries experimentally for this purpose. When the technical details are decided, no doubt we shall probably decide to pass you an official order for, say, two such batteries. Yours faithfully, | ||
