13th. December, 1939.

1 South Bank,
Northenden Road,

MANCHESTER.

For the attention of Mr. Goodwin.

Dear Sir,

With further reference to our letter dated 28th. November, we were under the impression that we would be able to work your device into some tests we are doing at the present time, but find that these tests have to be delayed in favour of more urgent work.

Your sample will be returned to you forthwith, and we would thank you for the loan of same.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
