NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I SPECIAL STEERING COLUMN, MARLES TYPE. Arrangements have been made by Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from West WitteringHenry Royce's home town, at R's request, for the Marles Company to build up a steering column on their principle, to meet our requirements. In this connection it is being arranged that we should cut the serrations on the various parts called for at our works. For this purpose we are handing you herewith blueprints M.524 and M.630, giving you the necessary information. The serrations should of course be our standard serrations. We are handing blueprint of the arrangement drawing, M.621, to Mr.Booth to enable him to check that the balance of the fittings which we will have to add, in the shape of control tubes, will fit in. When RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} has cut the serrations on the two parts supplied to him, will he kindly arrange to have these returned to the Order Office to be despatched to Messrs Marles for assembling purposes.
