The tyre makers have decided to discontinue the manufacture of the 6¾" section tyre and to replace it with the 7" section.

The 7" section tyre on the present wheel introduces a number of difficulties such as raising the car and alterations to the spare wheel carrier and gear ratio.

At the moment Dunlops' are producing the 6¾" tyre especially for R.R. but this means that if a customer replaces his tyre, he will most probably only be able to obtain one of the 7" section which will fit on to the present wheel.

All 7" section tyres are "Fort" tyres that is they have thicker tread and therefore have better wearing qualities.

We are bound to come in line with the tyre makers and we are satisfied, after a number of tests, that the 7" tyre for the 20" introduces no difficulties but at the same time it does not give us an appreciably lower car.
