Rolls Royce 17.8.H.P. ACCIDENT. DAILY REPORT. Accident Occured at La{L. A. Archer} Crouisille between Limoges & Argentan at approx 7.15 pm. Two cars approaching with headlights on, (I also had mine on) As approaching cars dimmed, Unfortunately a few miles back previous to the accident, my dimming switch went wrong, & therefore it was necessary that I switched my head lights completely out, I did this & at the same time applied my brakes bringing the speed of the car down to approx 15 M.P.H. It was not until the 1st car had passed that I realized that there was a cyclist in front of me, I could not swerve owing to the approach of the 2nd car, but applied my brakes heavily locking all four wheels, as the road was very wet. The car skidded up to the cyclist, jamming his rear wheel between the dumb iron - mine, smashing the machine (which had no apparent rear reflector) The cyclist was uninjured & my car was not damaged one little bit. The impact was one of a pushing nature & not running. The car pulled up within approx 4ft. The cyclist stated the at the time that he was not injured. There were no witnesses of the accident.
