With reference to your EFC5/T13.8.24, in which you query our remarks on the machining properties of the Bone Grey Fibre samples which you supplied, there certainly is very little difference in the machining, we did notice that the last sample turned slightly better and gave a better finish, but it would not drill quite as well as the first sample, owing to it being tougher, we consider that the second sample would have better wearing qualities. Regarding the rubbing blocks you supplied we have fitted them to Levers as requested, and (they were placed on your Desk last night). We have given you 3 new Levers as we find that Levers are supplied with contacts fitted from outside. The Lever you sent along which had been taken off 9 PK. will therefore be scrapped. RHC.{R. H.
