With reference to the points you asked us to to take up with Bulman -

(1) Peregrine.

We understand that you have already received a letter cancelling this order.

(2) Confirmation of the Wellington position.

Bulman had written a letter and sent it down to Freeman for his signature. It will be despatched as soon as it is returned.

(3) Direct contract for the Ministry with regard to power plants.

Bulman agreed in principle that now there were spares there was no objection to it and would deal with the matter with regard to 200 sets.

(4) De Havilland's propellors on Dewoitine and Amiots.

Bulman said that the propellor which these people used was nothing to do with him. They had given De Havillands release to export and Rotols release to export. As it happened De Havilland's seem to have got the order and all propellors were made for the first consignment.

With regard to the gun position, Spreckley has contacted Frazer Nash and it is expected that a visit will be made down there to co-operate with fitting the gun into their turret next week. The "Manchester" is, of course, the flying test bed for turrets, and if production comes up to expectations one of these will be available in March next year.
