X7250. To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to WOT. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}S/MJ.27.12.29. ALUMINIUM TUBES IN PHANTOM CYLINDER HEAD. X7050 X7250. We have received some further aluminium tubes from Paris which have corroded and leaked. We think it is essential that we should be trying out different materials for these tubes on all our Expl. cars. We suggest that an immediate improvement would be to anodically treat the tubes. We have one engine running with such tubes and at the first opportunity will examine them and let you know the result. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
