| To CJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Y4086 Hsl/Tl.6.22. With reference to the attached, Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} was given the 10000 mile Goshawk test to carry through. He had entire charge of those cars and arrangements for running. He made his own arrangements as regards his assistants. I did suggest to him that we ought to try and increase the times for lubrication on the Goshawk compared with our instructions for the 40/50, because it has already been agreed that the 40/50 instructions are unreasonable.
