X110 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.25/KW. 16th October, 1936. Messrs. Borg & Beck Ltd., Tachbrook Road, Leamington Spa. For the attention of Mr. Barker. Dear Sirs, On the Phantom III clutch we seem to have proved that the greater the cushioning of the driven plate, the less the tendency to jagger. We should like to apply this knowledge to the Bentley. Is it a practicable modification to increase the cushioning to, say, .045 ? If not, we think it might be a good move to try a cross cushion plate with this amount of set. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE | ||
